Chris Loynes is 58 and lives in Ulverston with his partner, with whom he has two grown-up children and two grandchildren. He is a lecturer at the University of Cumbria and an educational adviser specialising in experiential and outdoor education in schools and youth work. Chris is currently advising on a project for Barrow schools to enhance residential experiences for all children throughout their school careers. He is also a member of Ford Park and involved with South Lakes Action on Climate Change - Transition Town.
