Matt Blakeley, 31, was born and raised Batley and now lives in Carlinghow with his partner and two children. Having previously worked in banking and now in economic development across Leeds city region, he sees his role as the Green Party candidate partly to support local businesses. He has strong views on the importance of the Batley and Spen area in attracting employers, as well as redeveloping the town centre and rebuilding community spirit. He is a strong believer in local empowerment to create a fair and sustainable future for all.
