Dr Ben Foley is 44 and has lived in Bedford for 12 years. He works as a senior researcher at De Montfort University, to which he commutes to by train regularly. As a result, he is a committee member of Bedford Commuters Association and of his union branch. Foley is married, with children who go to the local state lower school. In his spare time he swims and is learning to play the clarinet, as well as being a keen football supporter.
