Daisy Blench is 22 and is nearing the end of a three-year degree in politics at the University of Essex. She already has a lifetime's experience of Green politics as her parents are both seasoned environmental campaigners and her mother is also standing for the Green Party in this election. During her studies she was elected to the post of ethics and environment officer of the students' union, which gave her the opportunity to lobby the University to improve it environmental performance, as well as playing a part in the Union achieving the Silver standard in the NUS Sound Environmental Impact award. After three years in Colchester she feels very at home in Essex and would be proud to represent the constituents of Braintree.
