Brian Heatley is 62 and has lived in Weymouth since 2003. He has worked as a senior civil servant and as a mathematics teacher. He was until recently the Green Party's policy co-ordinator, and has co-authored the 2010 Green Party General Election manifesto. Heatley was involved in local campaigns against the Weymouth Relief Road, and currently to prevent a palm oil-powered electricity generating plant. His particular interest is in economic policy and taxation.
