Cardiff South and Penarth

This constituency comprises the Cardiff electoral divisions of Butetown, Grangetown, Llanrumney, Rumney, Splott and Trowbridge. It also includes the four Penarth electoral divisions of Stanwell, St Augustines, Plymouth and Cornerswell, and the communities of Sully, Lavernock and Llandough which are in the Vale of Glamorgan County Borough.

Matt Townsend

Matthew Townsend is 31 and was born in Caerphilly. He went to Llanishen High School and studied at UWIC. After a spell living in London he returned to Cardiff two years ago where he now lives and works as an IT manager for a housing association. He is currently campaigning locally for improvements to public transport and against the Splott incinerator. He is also a member of the Cardiff Cycling Campaign and a Welsh speaker.
