John Reardon is 34, married and has lived in Carlisle all his life. He is head of history and RE at the city's Newman Catholic School, lives in Currock and is also a union rep and a governor at a local primary school. He helped to relaunch the Carlisle Amnesty group in 2007 and blogs on local politics at http://johnbreardon.blogspot.com. Reardon is also the Green Party's candidate for the target council ward of St Aidan's.
