Cllr. Owen Clarke

Councillor Owen Clarke is 82 and has lived in Torfaen for 40 years and remains an active caver and chorister. He is a retired engineering director of a micro multinational company and is married with three children. As a community councillor he is using his financial allowance to support the start-up of a new local community hall and the installing of solar intruder lights for old age pensioners who are affected by the turning off of street lights to cut costs. He is also campaigning against local open-cast mining for coal, and in favour of wind turbines on the local moors.
