Colin Matthews grew up in Devon and lives in Crediton with his partner and two children, who go to the local primary school. He is a director of a local social enterprise recycling co-op and is currently studying leadership in social enterprise. Matthews has stood for the Green Party several times at a local level and for parliament in the old Tiverton and Honiton constituency. He strongly believes that the Green Party is the only party that can instigate real change with innovative solutions and that the other parties simply do not have the same holistic approach .
