Debbie Rosaman, a 42-year-old mother of two, has lived in Barking & Dagenham since 1991. She has spent the past 20 years supporting her family and caring for her disabled daughter. During this time she has been involved in highlighting the plight faced by families whose lives are affected by disability. Carers' issues are therefore high on her agenda and she has been a volunteer and charity trustee of the local Carers Centre for many years. She has actively represented family carers at the borough's Learning Disability Partnership Board and is also a founder member of the borough-wide Parents Board.
