Dilys Cluer

Dilys Cluer, a semi-retired classics teacher, has lived in Scarborough for 23 years. An active campaigner for most of her life, she was elected as the second Green Party member of Scarborough Borough Council in 2007. She sits on four main committees of the council, and is chair of the Central Urban Area Committee. She also chairs the council's sustainability working group, helping to drive forward action on sustainability within the council and the community. She has attended urban renaissance groups for many years, and supports friends groups for local parks. Her other concerns include peace, poverty, health, housing and animal welfare.
