Dr Susan Board has lived in Shoreham for seven years with her 17-year-old son, who rows for Shoreham rowing club. As well as being a lone parent, she is an Open University lecturer and part-time counsellor, in which capacity she has volunteered at Shoreham Academy and the Information Service for Young People. She tutors adult learners in the subjects of environmental ethics and policy as well as on a counselling course. She is a keen runner and cyclist and loves foraging in charity shops.
