Arthur Hayles lives in the Eltham constituency. He went to John Roan School on Blackheath, has degrees in sociology and philosophy, and has lived most of his life in Greenwich. He has three children and five grandchildren. Now retired, he spent his working life in public service, first in the RAF and then in the civil service. His commitment to public service and to his life-long chosen locality is what inspires him to stand as a Green Party candidate. Apart from his family, his main interests are philosophy, literature, music and walking. He is a vegetarian.
