Geoff Meaden

Geoff Meaden retired last year from Canterbury Christ Church University, though he continus to undertake fisheries research for the United Nations. He has been a Green Party member for more than 30 years, has stood in many elections, and currently chairs the Canterbury Green Party and the local UNA group. His main interests are in transport, fisheries and conservation, plus water supply, local planning and climate change. He strongly believes that we must drastically reduce our ecological footprint and that fair, progressive and radical policies are needed to ensure that our communities and our environment survive.
