Glenn Vowles is 48 and has lived in Knowle, Bristol, where he is the Greens' lead campaigner, for more than 40 years. Vowles was a parliamentary candidate in both 1997 and 2001 and has stood for the local council several times. He works as an associate lecturer in environmental decision making and studies with the Open University. Vowles is a well known blogger and his letters and articles are regularly published in the local paper on a wide range of issues. A current concern is protecting the Bristol to Bath railway path from buses being run down the middle of it and houses being built right up to its edge.
