Gordon Ross is 45 and lives in South Croydon. He is a biology graduate, who has studied in the UK, US and Russia. He has had a varied career, working in microbiology, crop development, interior design, transport surveying and as a carer. He is involved in the south London Stop the Incinerator campaign, and has also campaigned to keep Croydon's schools publicly run. He joined the Green Party in 2005 because of its stand against the war in Iraq and on climate change. He is a member of the Green Party LGBT group, Greenpeace and FOE.
