Bob Keats is 55 and moved to the Island with his wife and young children almost 20 years ago. He is now a lecturer in Southampton, teaching topics such as sustainability, which has heavily influenced his move into Green politics. He previously worked for social housing organisations in London and on the Island. He has chaired the Island's Stonham supported-housing project for many years, has been secretary of Newport Rowing Club and a parish councillor, and is now treasurer and MC for the Shorwell Midsummer Fair. In his spare time he is studying for a PhD.
