Dr John Hunt grew up in Hillingdon. He first worked as a computer professional but later retrained and is now a nurse. Previously co-chair of the Patient Involvement Forum for the West Middlesex Hospital, he currently represents end-of-life care at Hounslow Local Involvement Network. Dr Hunt's interest in health includes air pollution. He has run a project with schools around Heathrow monitoring air quality, submitted reports on Heathrow expansion, confronted minister Douglas Alexander and was arrested at the Heathrow Climate Camp. He has also campaigned for social justice, improved education and training, and on protecting our disappearing species.
