Jon Lucas is 57, lives in Bath, and has been a member of the party's national executive for the past three years. He worked for many years in the cycling and walking team of Bristol City Council's transport department, but is now a writer and adult education teacher, mainly on aspects of local history. He also works part-time for Bristol Primary Care Trust, leading health walks. Lucas's main areas of expertise are sustainable transport and organic gardening, having been on the management council of HDRA (now Garden Organic) for 15 years. He is currently co-ordinator of the Bath group of Stop Bristol Airport Expansion.
