Mo Taylor is 33 with a son who is in his GCSE year. She grew up on council estates across Leicester, giving her first-hand experience of social deprivation and an understanding of local issues. She overcame poverty through volunteer work, which led to a nine-year career with an environmental charity. She supported disengaged young people, helping them to focus their lives positively. She is passionate about Leicester, taking pride that the city celebrates its diversity with an extensive programme of carnivals and festivals. She strongly believes residents should be listened to by the local council, especially in the matter of the prevention of the sports development on Aylestone Meadows.
