Gordon Matthews, 54, moved to Evesham from Hampshire five years ago. He is the warden of the Quaker Meeting House in Evesham, works part time for Evesham and Pershore Mind and serves on Evesham town council. He is a founder member of Transition Evesham Vale and convener of the energy working group. He has played a part in successful campaigns to save trees in the town centre from being felled and is a keen cyclist. He represents Evesham Quakers in Churches Together in Evesham and District and is a founder and chairperson of Evesham Interfaith Forum.
