Julie Hawkins

Julie Hawkins has lived in Northampton South for 30 years. She has two teenage sons and is a qualified nurse, electrician, teacher of English as a foreign language and an ADHD/ASD coach. She also works for a major international charity and with families and children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity/Autistic spectrum disorders. She is a member of her local resident's association and a Friend of the Racecourse, and is currently involved in arranging hanging baskets for everyone who lives in her street, to make up for the fact that they don't have front gardens. Hawkins is a staunch campaigner for wind farms as a supplier of green jobs and a local source of sustainable energy. She is an active member of both Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace and was recently involved in the "fix-the-food-chain campaign". She is currently active in the no-new-nuclear weapons (Trident) campaign and the Kit-Kat killers campaign (Nestle).
