Phil Chamberlain is 38 and has lived in Colerne in North Wiltshire for seven years. He is a freelance journalist and an active member of the National Union of Journalists. He is also a parish councillor and has been involved in helping provide new facilities for residents as well successfully campaigning to retain bus services and provide better recycling options. He is a founder member of the community's environmental group ecolerne and a volunteer at the local youth group. Chamberlain is married with three young children, the eldest of whom attends the village primary school.
