Sheffield Central

Jillian Creasy

Jillian Creasy has worked as a doctor in Sheffield for 25 years. In 2004 she became the city's first Green councillor. Since then the Green vote has grown and she now leads a group of three councillors, based in Central ward. She works hard for the community, campaigning for warm, affordable housing, better public transport and safer streets, local shops, businesses and schools. Creasy went into politics to oppose Labour's invasion of Iraq and the Liberal Democrats' deal for a giant new waste incinerator in Sheffield. "The other parties cannot be trusted because they put profit ahead of people and their environment. As an MP I will fight for a fairer world," she says.
