Suneil Basu was born in London in 1970 and has lived in Ealing for most of his life. He works as a teacher at a local comprehensive school and is married with two children, who both go to the local primary school, of which he has also been a governor. As a trade union rep, he is committed to promoting fair treatment in the workplace. He has a particular interest in education and health issues, and believes encouraging a healthy and sustainable lifestyle are vital to our future. A keen cyclist and triathlete, Basu has a record as an active campaigner for better cycling provision in London, and has been a coach for London's most successful youth cycling club.
