Tom Barker has previously stood for Chester Greens in both local and general elections. He writes proposals, plans and critiques on planning and transport issues to help improve the lives of Chester residents, and was the main author of CWAC's sustainability strategy document Vision 2050. After running his own successful business, Barker worked for five years at the Centre for Alternative Technology before going to university as a mature student and emerging with a First in biology and a PhD in ecology. He now works as a research scientist on restoring damaged environments and on developing a sustainable, low-carbon society.
